About me


I’m just a gal who loves to write and happens to be a nurse. My name is Lacey and I am motivated to merge my nursing knowledge with my love for writing while delivering a product for you. As a nurse writer, I am moved to craft words that elicit a meaningful reaction and produce an actionable response within your message.

I live a simple, small-town life in Pennsylvania spending my free time outdoors, reading, crafting, and enjoying the day-to-day pleasures of life. I am passionate about helping people navigate the complexities of their thoughts, lives, and today’s healthcare. I want to be a voice to advocate, educate, and comfort those who need guidance.

Experience

The foundation of my nursing career was built in the hospital caring for critical care patients, laboring moms, and their newborn babies. Feeling unfulfilled with bedside nursing, I left for the outpatient world practicing in primary care as a phone triage nurse, among all other routine doctor’s office duties. Here, I felt fulfilled with my job as a nurse and the impact I had on people’s lives. I continue to serve patients in the preventative care setting in a nurse management role.

My Passion

Throughout my career as a nurse, I have interacted with diverse populations exposing me to many different perspectives and thought processes. Phone triage opened my eyes to how impactful words and tones can be when physical interaction is absent. Learning how individuals think and feel coupled with conversations only through a telephone taught me a neutral and strategic way to communicate. I believe those skills translate well in the written word and appeal to a variety of readers.
